The Colorado Fallen Firefighter Resource Team was established in June 2007. The Team is a part of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Line-of-Duty-Death State Response Team Program.

The team will respond to all Colorado Line-of-Duty-Deaths (LODD) in which our assistance is requested.

Our goal is to be on scene within six hours of activation from either the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation (NFFF), or the chief of the department where the LODD has taken place. The team will work with the family and the fire department from behind the scenes to honor the Fallen according to the family's wishes. When a firefighter is killed in the line of duty, The Team is available to offer assistance as needed. We are also available to help in filing the Public Service Officers Benefits ( PSOB)
